Workshop 1: Minecraft & More: The Potential of Gaming for Youth Exchanges, 24 September, 16:00–18:00 CEST

Can gaming be a method for digital youth exchanges? Through two practical examples, participants will explore how Minecraft and its open-source alternative Luanti can be used to design interactive, creative, and participatory online exchange projects that bring together young people from different countries and promote intercultural learning.

Workshop 2: Digital and Sustainable? Navigating Challenges and Trade-offs in International Youth Work, 29 September, 14:00–16:00 CEST

How sustainable is digitalisation in international youth work? Where do digital opportunities support ecological responsibility – and where do they come into conflict with it? After a short introduction to the opportunities, trade-offs, and the role of international youth work, participants will get to know two practical tools: Dekarbo and the Sustainability Module of the i-EVAL evaluation platform. The media and information ecosystem is undergoing fundamental change: platforms are increasingly taking on the role of traditional gatekeepers and determining which content gains public visibility. How is non-formal youth and media education responding to these shifts?
